Isle of Skye Campsites
John MacLean, proprietor at Torvaig, welcomes you to Skye and hopes that you have a memorable holiday. Torvaig has 90 pitches, spread over 3 acres of land. Eighteen pitches (hard standing and grass) have electric hook-ups. The site has two toilet blocks, both with toilets, free showers, shaver points and hair driers. A chemical disposal point is also available. The laundry area is well equipped with sinks, washing machine and tumble drier. The site has a payphone accessible at all times. |
Sligachan campsite has an ideal location across the road from the most famous Mountaineers' hotel in Scotland. The site is adjacent to Loch Sligachan and there is a fantastic view of the northern Cuillin. Onsite there are toilet facilities, shower facilities, washing machine & tumble dryer. There are 15 electric hook-ups and a hard standing area. |
Kinloch Campsite is a small, family run, informal site covering seven acres on the shore at the head of the loch where the peaceful environment encourages you to relax and enjoy the beautiful views in all directions. The site is terraced with pitches on grass amid banks of wild flowers. Facilities for caravans and motor homes include hard standings, 230V 16amp electricity supplies, a chemical toilet dump point for continental vans and servicing for vans. Hot water and showers are available at all times free of charge. (Photo is copyright Colin Ewing) |
Set beneath the romance of the Trotternish Ridge with views over the Hebridean Minch, Staffin Campsite offers a warm welcome to that Highland getaway for both young and old. Staffin is amongst some of the most rugged, breathtaking and beautiful scenery on the island. The Trotternish Ridge is a back-drop to the campsite, whilst the Hebridean Minch cuts through the beauty of the peaceful Highland retreat close to Staffin Bay. |
Glen Brittle campsite has a superb location for walkers right by the beach at the foot of Glen Brittle. The site has a shower block, toilets, and a small shop. The only drawback is that this is midgie-heaven in August. |
