Flodigarry was buit in 1895 by Major Alexander Livingstone MacDonald, a kinsman of Flora MacDonald.Convertion to hotel took place in 1928 and it now has 18 bedrooms all en suite. The Hotel was built in 1912 by Major Archie MacKinnon and was originally named Dunringell after his clan’s old fort near Elgol. Respected as an ideal example of a Scottish country house, the MacKinnon has ten rooms in the main building.
